Vebrifuge, a band from Germany, was founded in August 1986 and is still alive. During the first years the position of the bass player changed twice, but since 1990 (except for Flanke, he joined at December 1999) the following line-up exists:

Schramme ; voice
Dano ; guitar
Flanke ; guitar
Grzesiu ; bass
Doitschie ; drums

The punk influenced Thrash-Metal (including the release of several demos and a compilation LP) of the first years has moved into a melodic progressiv rock now. The style nowadays is influenced by bands like the early Genesis, Marillion, New Model Army. But still there is a lot of power within the songs of Vebrifuge, the memory of punk is still remaining sometimes.

On the lyrical side Vebrifuge has always mixed personal experiences with points of view on a world which is often not the paradise it could be. Being very offensive with political lyrics in the beginning they have changed into a direction which the readers/listeners can think about for themselves.

Vebrifuge has released one full-length CD which is named ;Fiction: reality;. The next album is written and recorded at this time. It will be a big surprise, because it will not be what music industry is expecting. To shorten the time until the release Vebrifuge is thinking about the release of a live-CD.
